Frequently Asked Questions
-
Does my dog have to get along with other dogs to stay with you?
No! We are able to accommodate the needs of individual dogs. If your dog does not enjoy being around others, like their space, or has a history of aggressive behavior with other dogs, please be honest and open with us to keep everyone safe.
-
How often will my dog be let out of the kennel?
Our guests get outside every 2-3 hours for a minimum of 10-15 minutes! This allows for optimal energy burn, stress relief, and potty time.
-
How do you accept payment?
We accept all forms of payment. (Cash, check, card, and Venmo!) Whichever is most convenient for you is great for us!
-
What should I bring for my dog's stay?
Food is all we need! Please be sure to bring your dog’s regular diet. Abrupt changes in diet can cause digestive upset making boarding more stressful for your pup. Please err on the side of extra. We do not stock food. If your dog(s) run out during their stay, we
will locate and purchase additional food at the owner’s expense.A blanket (if you want!) We do provide blankets, but if you would like your dog to have something that smells like home, blankets are great!
-
Are there certain items I should NOT bring?
Things to leave at home include beds, toys, bones and other items to chew.
Cots are provided for every dog that wants to use them. Beds from home have a tendency to not leave in the condition they arrive. If something gets destroyed, let it be ours!
Toys can be a point of contention for some dogs and something that is a favorite can have the potential to cause arguments among friends. They also have a tendency to be forgotten or destroyed.
Bones and chew toys are a safety hazard and will not be allowed in the kennel with your dog.

If you happen to be full, do you have any recommendations of other facilities?
Though we cannot guarantee the level of care for an organization not affiliated with Greta’s Play & Stay, we do have a few local facilities that our family dogs have enjoyed!
